Behn Residence Renovation + New Garage  Kaslo, BC

The family recently moved into this house shortly after a fire had forced them from their home.  I was asked to design and complete documents to submit for building permit.  A garage/accesory building was integrated with the renovation.

A secondary residence was proposed for the same lot. This compact house was designed to accommodate three adults and a baby. The design allows for privacy while still capturing ample daylight and iconic views of the mountains.

Angry Hen Brewing Company Kaslo, BC

This design was completed for a new craft brewery and tasting room in the community of Kaslo, BC. Much like it would have been during the early 1900’s, this could become an important piece of social interaction among locals and visitors. The site provides views of multiple heritage buildings/attractions as well as the lake and mountains beyond. 

The design was inspired through studying the traditional urban fabric and heritage buildings throughout the region.
